Job summary An exciting opportunity has arisen for an ambitious and enthusiastic Health Care Assistant to join Baildon Medical Practice.
Due to retirement, we are looking for a Health Care Assistant to join our experienced nursing team to work full time alongside our clinical team.

Main duties of the job Undertake new patient health checksSupport the practice nurse with healthpromotion programmesCarry out baseline observations such aspulse oximitery, blood pressure, temperature and pulse rate, recording findingsaccuratelyFacilitate routine and 24-hour BPmonitoring, advising patients accordinglyUndertake wound care, dressings andother clinical tasks as requiredSupport the practice nurse with themanagement of chronic disease clinicsCarry out BMI checks as directedAct as a chaperone as requiredUndertake venepunctureAdminister fluvaccinationsCarry out ECGsEnsure specimens are recorded and readyfor onward transportationProvide support during minor operationsas requiredEnsure all clinical rooms are adequatelystocked and prepared for each sessionEnsure fridges are cleaned routinely inaccordance with extant guidanceEnsure clinical waste is removed fromclinical areas and sharps bins replaced in accordance with the organisationsIPC policyDeliveropportunistic health promotion where appropriateUrinalysisThird Party checks About us We are a supportive, forward thinking, 6 partner practice providing a high standard of traditional family medicine to a growing list size of 9,600 patients.
Baildon Medical Practice is a purpose-built practice located in a quiet rural village within easy commute of Shipley, Bingley, Keighley and North Leeds.
We are part of the 'Bingley Bubble' Primary Care Network.
The nursing team comprises of 3 nurses and 2 healthcare assistants.
