Job summary An exciting opportunity has arisen for an inspirational and motivated Health Care Assistant to join our dedicated team in the Discharge Unit at Blackpool Teaching Hospitals.The successful candidate will be supported by both our nursing and medical team and essential training for the role will be provided.You must be able to communicate effectively with a wide range of healthcare professionals and be enthusiastic and passionate about delivery of high quality care.
As a health care assistant within theteam,your role will be assisting our patients with everyday tasks which involve maintaining a good oral intake, assisting with personal hygiene, and escorting patients to various procedures whilst also assisting both our medical and nursing teams deliver treatment.

Person Specification Qualifications Essential Willingness & ability to undertake NVQ Level 2 in care if required Basic level of general education Excellent command of English - particularly in verbal communication Desirable NVQ Level 2 in care Experience Essential Experience of working within a team Experience of working with people Desirable Experience as a Healthcare Assistant Skills Essential Understanding of quality and change in the clinical setting.
Ability to communicate in a variety of settings with patients of varying levels of understanding.
Able to present factual information and refer questions to others where appropriate.
