Health & Safety ManagerLeicestershire£65,000-£70,000 plus packageManufacturingAn international manufacturing business based in Leicestershire, seeking a dedicated Health & Safety Manager to join the site team.
Reporting to the Operations Director, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the safety and wellbeing of our employees across this busy production environment.
Key Responsibilities:Use the company's internal Health & Safety system to complete assigned tasks.Manage projects related to health and safety improvements.Engage with staff on the shop floor to promote a safety-first culture..Set direction for effective health and safety management and implement appropriate workplace wellbeing programmes.Review and develop health, safety, and wellbeing policies, ensuring consistent implementation across the organisation.Monitor, evaluate, and review existing, new, and upcoming health and safety legislation to ensure compliance.Collaborate proactively with the Operations Team and other key staff to establish and maintain a programme of continuous improvement in health, safety, and wellbeing.Ensure compliance requirements are controlled, documented, and maintained in accordance with regulations and guidelines.Oversee rigorous risk assessment and incident management systems.Identify, provide, and/or procure effective health and safety-related training.Qualifications and Experience:Significant experience in a Health & Safety position within a high risk manufacturing environment.CertIOSH or CMIOSH calibre individualDemonstrable ability to influence senior leadership teams.
