Our client is seeking an experienced Health & Safety Manager to join their dynamic team.
This is a fantastic opportunity to make a significant impact within a well-established company in the utilities and reinstatement sector.
About the Role: As the Health & Safety Manager, the successful candidate will oversee health and safety across multiple divisions, ensuring compliance with company policies and current legislation.
They will lead a team of three SHEQ Advisors, embedding a strong safety culture and maintaining high standards in risk assessments, method statements, and environmental policies.
Key Responsibilities: Embed the company's safety culture across all business activities.
Produce and maintain high-quality risk assessments and method statements.
Develop and monitor health and safety policies and procedures.
Design and implement a comprehensive H&S training framework.
Ensure adherence to the company's environmental policy.
Advise on safe working practices and legislative compliance.
Manage the COSHH file and conduct site inspections and audits.
Serve as the first point of contact for safety and environmental issues.
Implement and monitor safety and technical audits.
Maintain accident/incident and near-miss records and conduct investigations.
Design and deliver Health & Safety induction training for new starters.
Ensure all personnel are qualified, competent, and equipped for their tasks.
Manage the company's competency procedure and procurement processes.
Liaise with clients, professionals, and regulatory agencies.
About you: Registered with Energy and Utility Skills Register (EUSR) for SHEA Gas, Water & Electric.
Hold a recognised health & safety qualification (IOSH/NEBOSH or equivalent).
Ideally working towards Chartered Membership.
Minimum of 5 years' experience as a Safety Professional.
Experience in civil engineering or highways is advantageous.
Strong communication skills and the ability to influence at all levels.
Physically fit with good problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Well-organised and able to cope under pressure.

Working Hours: This is a full-time role, Monday to Friday, 6am to 4pm, with flexibility required for occasional early starts or late finishes due to audits and inspections.
Regular travel across the Southeast is required, and a company vehicle will be provided.
