Job DescriptionOur General Manager - Corporate Health and Safety is currently recruiting for an outstanding Health and Safety Advisor to join their highly experienced and growing team.
Within this role you will help us drive a high standard of Health and Safety by working with Corporate, Hub and Network teams to produce appropriate risk assessments and Safe Systems of Work as well as running health and safety projects and undertaking site visits for Hubs and Depots as appropriate.
You will produce high quality, suitable and sufficient written risk assessments as well as produce Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Safe Systems of Working (SSoW) and Training Materials to be used within our business.
Your other key responsibilities will include:Supervising individual risk assessments and SSoW through peer review and the via the Engagement programme, as appropriate.Document control.Establish, monitor and control miscellaneous H&S projects for the Corporate H&S Team.
Produce project monitoring reports and presentations for management.Drive positive safety culture change through employee consultation and engagement programs, by working across teams, with employees and management.Undertaken any reasonable additional tasks as directed by the Corporate H&S General Manager or H&S Manager.QualificationsTo be considered for this role ideally you will be NCRQ Qualified or hold the NEBOSH Diploma in Applied Health and Safety or at least working towards such qualifications.
You should as a minimum have an understanding of the application of the Health and Safety at work act and its supporting legislation You will have a proven track record in producing high quality Health and Safety Documentation including Risk Assessment and SSoW.
You will possess excellent communication and be able to communicate to a high standard in numerous formats.You will be comfortable working on your own initiative with the ability to prioritise and effectively manage your time.Due to the size of our operation the ability to work collaboratively and supportively within the team is critical.You will have strong IT skills with experience of using Microsoft packages or Google Suite.
