Job Title: Health and Safety Advisor Location: Various UK Sites (Lodging Away Required) Contract Type: Full-time, Permanent Salary: Flexible plus generous accommodation allowance provided About Us: A leading civil engineering company involved in a range of large-scale infrastructure projects across the UK.
This role involves working on-site, supporting project teams in meeting stringent health and safety standards.
About the Role: As the Health and Safety Advisor, you'll be responsible for ensuring safety compliance across all aspects of the civil engineering projects.
This role requires someone with hands-on experience in construction or civil engineering, capable of understanding and addressing the specific health and safety needs of this field.
Candidates who are lodging away are encouraged to apply.

Key Responsibilities: Conduct regular safety inspections and audits on-site to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations Provide proactive guidance and support to site teams on all health, safety, and environmental (HSE) matters Develop and deliver toolbox talks, safety briefings, and other training programs Investigate incidents, near-misses, and accidents to determine root causes and implement preventative measures Assist in the development, implementation, and review of health and safety policies and risk assessments Liaise with project managers, contractors, and other stakeholders to promote a positive safety culture across the project Qualifications and Experience Required: NEBOSH Certificate or equivalent in Occupational Health and Safety (essential) Knowledge and understanding of civil engineering or construction practices Experience in a similar role within the civil engineering, construction, or infrastructure industry Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to influence and educate on-site teams This could be a developmental role for a junior candidate
