Job summary We are seeking an enthusiastic andforward-thinkingspecialist nurse to join our Health Advisor/ Clinical NurseSpecialist isa developmental role, offering full support to complete comprehensive training in all aspects of sexual healthwithin atwo-yeartimescale.
Based in Slough, we are a busy level 3 sexual health service, with additional satellite clinics in Windsor, Maidenhead, Ascot, and Bracknell and we operate Monday to Friday, with one Saturday shift every 4 to 6 weeks.
Given the sensitive nature of the role, we are looking for candidates who are open-minded, non-judgmental, and capable of working in a highly confidential environment.
Previous experience in family planning or sexual health within a GUM setting is desirable.
As part of a multidisciplinary team, you'll have access to excellent training opportunities, including non-medical prescriber training.

Main duties of the job Key Responsibilities: Deliver a high standard of sexual reproductive healthcare to patients accessing the sexual health service.
Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to provide holistic, non-judgmental care, while upholding professional and ethical standards.
Build and maintain strong working relationships with team members.
Manage pathology results, ensuring patients receive accurate information, advice, treatment, and support following an STI diagnosis.
Supervise and mentor junior staff and nursing students, taking on an active leadership role within the nursing team.
While primarily based at the Garden Clinic in Slough, you may need to travel to clinics in Bracknell, Windsor, and Maidenhead.
A UK driving license and access to a car for work purposes is desirable.

Person Specification Education/Qualifications/Training Essential Registered Nurse- Adult Desirable Sexual Health qualification in SRH or undertaking SRH qualification.
Sexual Health qualification in GUM Sexual Health qualification in HIV Active on mentor register Teaching qualification, eg ENB SLICE/998 and/or teaching experience Continuous Professional Development Essential Evidence of continuing professional development Desirable Independent Prescribing qualification -or willing to work towards Higher degree in related field Previous Experience Essential Extensive post qualification experience.
Desirable Significant Experience in sexual and reproductive Health.
Experience of Working as Health Advisor Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Essential Evidence of special interest in Sexual health Ability to work autonomously.
Ability to deliver holistic care and promote independence.
Work collaboratively with peers.
Role model being highly visible, approachable, and communicative at all levels.
IT, written, and oral skills including presentations.
Able to use IT and related software to support data collection.
Additional Requirements Desirable Car driver with use of a car for work purpose.
