We are recruiting for a Headteacher to lead a brand-new specialist school for children and young people with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs in Essex, starting in January 2025.
This state-of-the-art facility offers a unique opportunity to build and shape an inclusive, nurturing environment that empowers students aged 5-19 to achieve their full potential.
The ideal candidate will bring extensive experience as a senior leader in an SEN or SEMH setting, with a proven track record of delivering high standards of teaching and learning.
Key Responsibilities : Lead the strategic and operational development of the school.
Drive educational excellence and ensure high-quality teaching and learning.
Foster a safe and inclusive environment for students with SEMH needs.
Collaborate with staff, parents, and external agencies to provide personalised support.
Manage resources and oversee staff development.
Ensure compliance with statutory regulations and school standards.
Qualifications and Experience : Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with extensive experience in an SEN or SEMH setting.
Proven track record of improving student outcomes and driving educational excellence.
Strong leadership skills, with a focus on personalised, therapeutic education.
Understanding of safeguarding and child protection policies.
Ability to inspire and lead a team of skilled professionals.
