Gardner Llewelyn is on the lookout for a talented and experienced Head Veterinary Surgeon to lead our dynamic veterinary team.
As the Head Veterinary Surgeon, you will play a pivotal role in advancing the quality of care provided to our clients and their beloved pets.
You will not only be performing complex surgical procedures and diagnostics but will also be responsible for mentoring and guiding a team of veterinary professionals.
Your leadership will help foster a collaborative and supportive environment focused on excellence in patient care and customer service.
Key Responsibilities Oversee and manage all surgical operations, ensuring the highest standards of veterinary medicine.
Lead, mentor, and train junior veterinarians and support staff, promoting continuous learning and professional development.
Develop and implement clinical protocols and best practices to enhance patient care.
Conduct comprehensive examinations and surgical procedures, making critical decisions regarding animal health.
Collaborate closely with pet owners, providing them with clear information and guidance.
Maintain accurate patient medical records, ensuring compliance with regulations and protocols.
Stay informed on the latest veterinary advancements and integrate them into practice.
Requirements Degree in Veterinary Medicine and current veterinary license.
Significant experience in veterinary practice, with a strong focus on surgery.
Proven leadership and mentorship skills within a clinical setting.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with clients and team members.
Strong problem-solving abilities and the capacity to make informed decisions under pressure.
Commitment to continuing education and staying up-to-date with industry advancements.
A passion for animal welfare and a desire to inspire a team dedicated to the health and happiness of pets.
Benefits Salary : Up to £80,000 per annum, plus a £5,000 relocation/welcome bonus.
Annual Leave : 29 days, including bank holidays.
CPD Support : Funded CPD with allocated time off, and opportunities to study for certificates.
Memberships Paid : RCVS, VDS, and BVA.
Pension : Contributory pension scheme.
