About the Job As the team lead for the Government Affairs and Public Policy team at YouTube in the UK, you will be an ambassador for YouTube's issues and interests with policymakers and opinion formers within the Westminster Parliament, UK Government, regulators, and third-party stakeholders.
You will be an expert in the policy environment affecting YouTube's business operations in the UK and you will have an understanding of the policymaking process in Government departments, Parliament, and regulators.
In this role, you will coordinate with the Government Affairs and Public Policy (GAPP) team across the market to understand the policy issues that affect YouTube's business operations and develop strategies to protect YouTube's interests.
Responsibilities Engage with YouTube leadership and the regional leads to develop public policy strategy, campaigns, and engagement within and across the UK institutions.
Monitor and research current and relevant emerging public policy issues considering how Google should work with allied organizations and industries and work with business-area leadership, Legal, Marketing, Trust and Safety to develop and launch policy-friendly products.
Address policy and government relations problems, and develop and execute policy strategy in a way that benefits the users and business.
Support YouTube's Public Policy engagement in Westminster and Whitehall by serving as an ambassador for YouTube's interests to policymakers and opinion formers.
