Reporting directly to the Water Managing Director, you will play a crucial role in delivering a step change in our financial and business performance.

You will lead key initiatives to address legacy challenges, ensure we meet future targets, and deliver critical regulatory and transformational programmes as part of our journey towards 2030.Key Responsibilities:Lead our Water Transformation: Create an integrated, efficient transformation programme that brings all our regulatory and transformational initiatives together.Drive Change: Develop robust business cases, secure buy-in, and deliver projects that exceed expectations.Challenge the Status Quo: Identify efficiencies, streamline processes, and accelerate change to ensure we're always ahead of the curve.Collaboration: Work closely with teams across Southern Water and with external partners to ensure effective project delivery, resource allocation, and timely issue resolution.Strategic Leadership: Lead and inspire multi-disciplinary teams to achieve shared objectives, with a clear focus on performance, cost-efficiency, and continuous improvement.Governance & Accountability: Ensure that all projects adhere to Southern Water's governance structure, driving accountability, predictability, and successful outcomes.What are we looking for?Proven Leadership: Experience leading large-scale, multi-disciplinary change programmes at a senior level with a strong track record in delivery.Strategic Vision: Ability to create clear business cases and implement transformational initiatives that drive long-term value.Team Player: Strong coordination and team-working skills, able to engage effectively with operational, compliance, engineering, and project management teams.Inspirational Leadership: A visionary leader who can connect multiple strategic agendas and successfully translate them into action.Change Management Expertise: A demonstrated ability to improve organisational competency in change management, governance, and process improvements.Professional Qualifications: A relevant degree (BSc, MSc, BEng, MEng) and ideally chartered status with a professional institution.Influence & Credibility: Strong ability to influence at executive and board level and gain buy-in across all levels of the business.Why Southern Water?At Southern Water, we are committed to driving positive change, tackling challenges head-on, and shaping the future of water management in the UK.
