Description Great opportunity to join us as Head of Technology for our Outsourcing line of business for Great Britain, Ireland and Germany. In this role you will lead the Technology teams supporting Outsourcing Great Britain, Ireland and Germany with focus on partnering with business stakeholders and other technology functions, leading a team of technology associates to provide strategic technology and data solutions to meet the business needs.

We are seeking a hands-on, data-driven, innovation-focused individual who will make a positive impact on the growth and innovation in support of relevant lines of business globally. Demonstrates an excellent understanding of current technology capabilities and facilitates technology roadmaps to meet business needs.

The role will report into the Business Technology Leader for Outsourcing of WTW, and dotted line into the Business Leaders of Outsourcing.

Our Outsourcing line of business deliver outsourced benefits administration services covering pension administration (Defined Benefit, Defined Contribution and all shades in between), treasury and accounting, pensioner payroll and trustee secretarial services. We also have a successful track record in partnering with clients to deliver flexible benefits programmes, total reward statements (TRS) and on-line benefit statements.

The Role Partner with business and product development teams to lead the engineering and implementation of the technology strategy and ensure related platforms/solutions are aligned to business strategy and needs Drive and support innovative ideas and solutions by fostering a creative and collaborative team environment, along with awareness of the latest innovations internally and externally Partner and collaborate with the Operations leaders in Outsourcing and other technology leaders to ensure alignment and effectiveness Actively participate and contribute to the execution and success of the Technology and business transformation workstreams Drive the planning, prioritization, and governance of the technology budget, and support the overall Outsourcing budget process. Deliver the evolving portfolio of agile software and platform engineering projects with a focus on maximizing the value to the businesses and their clients, whilst following the "common as possible, distinct as necessary" philosophy Lead and develop the team, ensure effective day to day operations, change management, ensure deadlines, budgets and service levels are met, set objectives, define career paths, provide learning and development opportunities, conduct performance reviews, and continually improve results Develop and maintain the Incident & Business Continuity plan for business-critical technology and to implement measures designed to safeguard technology in major incidents or disasters Expert understanding of how technology relates to business, market and industry and applies strategic planning and direction as it relates to high-level business and customer needs. Management and maintenance of the Technology Stack, drive an Evergreen approach and ensure that Information Cyber Security and Platform Resilience is at the heart of the agenda Qualifications The Requirements Extensive experience in technology delivery or solution architecture functions with considerable experience in leadership roles. Leadership skills and experience in engaging, managing and influencing teams in a non-hierarchical global environment with cultural awareness Strong knowledge of technology/solution architecture, strategies and methodologies, analytical skills, and their application to solve business needs/opportunities with ability to lead a team of highly skilled hands-on technology associates to build and implement platforms and solutions in support of the respective business Experience in technology delivery or solution architecture functions within financial services would be advantageous In-depth knowledge of Outsourcing businesses and understanding of other lines of business within WTW is desirable Strong people and relationship management capabilities with skills in negotiation, facilitation, and consensus building Expertise in evaluating both external and internal technology and platform capabilities to meet business needs Strong oral and written communication skills and presentation skills At WTW, we believe difference makes us stronger.
