Head of Technical Production (Live Events) Location: Hybrid working - offices based in both North and South London Salary: £47,500-£55,000 subject to experience Package inc.
Bonus: £55,000-£62,500 subject to experience Prospero are looking for a proven Head of Technical Production.
Our client produce some very large-scale events that require an excellent team and outstanding leadership to produce them.
Blending creativity and technical skills with meticulous planning, you'll take overall responsibility for managing the delivery and producing superb events.
This role motivates a team of very talented technical production managers, and you will assist with this, providing support and deputising as required.
You are expected to contribute to the Company's technical direction, evaluating and recommending equipment and technical solutions, and providing advice to Technical Managers and clients.
Moreover, you will take an active role in improving standards in all aspects of production in order to enhance the brand and position in the market for technical expertise and service excellence.

Responsibilities • You will provide clients and colleagues with creative input, helping to develop concepts that enhance events.
• You will curate, plan, manage and oversee technical and scenic installations on large scale events, taking responsibility for their execution.
This includes CAD plans, rigging plans and coordination and associated schematics.
• You will conduct technical site visits with high level conversations with clients, venues and agency production managers.
• Working closely with technical teams, you will research the market to identify and develop technical solutions for events, opportunities for growth and improvements in working practices.
• You will assist in the monitoring of KPIs for all aspects of delivery to measure performance and foster an environment of accountability.
• You will assist the Production Director in evaluating the needs of the technical department and ensuring that we have the right mix of skills and numbers of people to meet the needs of the business.
What we're looking for Are you a proactive self-starter, with extensive experience of end-to-end technical production in live events, capable of producing comprehensive, client-centric solutions?
We would expect you to have the following: • Outstanding technical knowledge project management/planning skills • Deep technical knowledge in at least one audiovisual discipline • Good understanding of rigging, power, cable management and event-based health and safety • Ability to confidently calculate lens throws, lighting angles, weight loads, speaker dispersion, power draws, sight lines, floor load restrictions etc • Outstanding organisational skills and the ability to prioritise • First class interpersonal skills – especially regarding meeting management and written communications • Excellent IT skills including being competent with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint) • Experience and familiarity with a CRM If the above sounds like you, then we would love to hear from you Our services primarily cater to trade exhibitions, typically scheduled on weekdays.
However, occasional weekend shifts may be necessary.
