In this key role, you'll lead the development ofstrategic workforce plans that align with the BOB ICS vision, nationalinitiatives, and service innovations.
You'll be the key player betweenanalysis, strategy, and execution, driving complex workforce planning,transformation, and organisational design for major projects and ensuringalignment with our strategic goals.As the Head of Workforce Transformation, you will work collaboratively with ICS senior leaders to deliver a system programme of workforce transformation, aligned to the delivery of the NHS Long Term Workforce Plan, the strategic workforce ambitions of the ICB and all key partners, and the future workforce needs acrossthe BOB system.
You will lead the process with our NHS trusts in the BOB system for gaining assurance of delivery to workforce plan, and reporting this to the System Recovery and Transformation Board.
Main duties of the job Your strategic acumen and ability to collaborate with others will guide the development and implementation of workforce transformation and planning strategies, ensuring our organisation boasts a skilled workforce at every level.
Your role involves crafting plans for short-term operational needs, medium-term tactical adjustments, and long-term strategic transformations.
The role will involve: Leading complex workforce planning and transformation for major projects, aligning with strategic goals.
Providing expert input to the development of workforce plans and strategies to underpin the business cases that support other major programmes.
Leading the team providing workforce support in developing and delivering on all aspects of the project relating to our people, and working closely across our existing people directorate teams.
Develop strong working relationships and providing expert workforce and HR advice to impact decisions, support initiatives, clarify accountability, and communicate progress across project workstreams.
Harnessing best practice and innovative thinking to address future healthcare needs through workforce planning and transformation.

Person Specification Qualifications Essential - Educated to masters degree level in relevant subject or equivalent level qualification or significant experience of working at a similar level in specialist clinical/ operational or workforce role.
- Evidence of continued professional development - Member or Fellow of CIPD or other relevant professional body - Professional or Postgraduate qualification in specialist strategic workforce/ clinical or operational area - Knowledge of the governance arrangements of public sector bodies, such as the ICB Experience Essential - Experience of managing complex operational workforce programmes.
- Experience of leading NHS or Social care workforce transformation programmes - Experience of being a member of Committees/Forums and presenting complex strategies and data to such bodies - Experience of reporting and analysing workforce data in a complex environment - Experience of applying service transformation and redesign methodologies to improve service delivery models including associated workforce changes.
- Experience of leading and motivating a team - Experience of working with and influencing senior level Workforce professionals - Strong understanding of strategic NHS and Social Care issues, priorities, service developments and workforce implications - Significant experience of successfully operating in a politically sensitive environment - Ability to research, analyse information and produce written reports.
