We're seeking an experienced and skilled Head of System Delivery to join our team and report directly to the Head of Programmes on our Executive Team. This role is crucial in supporting our Project Management Team, overseeing hardware solutions, procurement, build and deployment, export and shipping services, and on-site installation of products. The ideal candidate will be a qualified Technical Project Manager with a strong background in networking and Windows hardware deployment.
Key Responsibilities: Manage the System Delivery team, overseeing design, procurement, build, delivery, and installation of hardware & software. Support the Bid and Project Management processes with accurate estimates, schematics, and hardware scope details. Ensure timely and quality delivery of products to external and internal customers. Provide on-site installation support for customer hardware and software deliveries. Manage vendors for hardware products, export, and shipping services. Design and deliver quality IT hardware solutions. Collaborate closely with Project Managers and other internal teams. Oversee export and import processes for project deliveries. Manage hardware warranty claims and failures. Ensure accurate stock control management in cooperation with the Finance Team. Travel to customer sites worldwide as required. Who Are You? An experienced leader with a track record of managing multi-disciplinary teams in technical computing or software environments. Proficient in designing, building, testing, and delivering combined data, software & hardware products. Expert in PC computing and networking requirements, with experience in traditional, virtual, and cloud-based environments. Strong understanding of Microsoft Windows Server, networking, and PC design for deployments. Excellent PC literacy and overall ICT skills. Proficient in Microsoft Office suite, particularly Outlook, Word, and Excel. Strong technical information gathering and analysis skills. Internet proficient and cybersecurity aware. Qualifications & Experience Recognised Project Management qualification. Experience in Microsoft Server build, deployment, and troubleshooting. Experience with Windows virtualisation design and implementations. Proven track record in IT hardware, networking, and software product delivery. Experience in IT hardware purchase, stock management, and export control management. Strong team and vendor management skills. Experience in an Air Traffic Control (ATC) environment would be beneficial but is not essential.
