We have an exciting opportunity Head of Subsidiary Governance and Operations to join our tenacious team.
This a great job for someone to lead and coordinate the core of our Corporate Governance Practice, including the effective operation of the Aviva Governance Framework and ensuring compliance across our subsidiaries.
A bit about the job: The Corporate Governance function is a core Aviva team providing high quality corporate governance and company secretarial support and advice across the Aviva Group boards and committees.
The Subsidiary Governance and Operations team are critical to our mission of delivering seamless and pragmatic decision making through our boards, and as the Head of Subsidiary Governance and Operations, you will drive forward our technology roadmap, operationalising our services through automation and increased efficiency, and leading on effective subsidiary governance processes and assurance to deliver for our boards and internal business partners.
Within the role you will need to be a change maker, with prior experience in improving and operationalising processes.
A core part of the role is effectively supervising the external landscape and responding to emerging developments (such as ECCTA), consistently considering and actioning the risks associated with the work.
Being a member of the Group Company Secretary's Senior Leadership Team, you will deliver the team vision, role model collaboration and prioritisation across the function.
Along with driving resource fluidity and people development opportunities within the team, the team ensures compliance with applicable policies and standards.
Skills and experience we're looking for: A qualified company secretary and extensive experience delivering high-quality Subsidiary Governance Services, preferably within a FTSE100/250 organisation A deep understanding of Legal Entity Management compliance and reporting requirements and a strong and collaborative leader Excellent stakeholder management and engagement experience at all levels, particularly with internal stakeholders and external suppliers Strong technology configuration and implementation skills People leadership skills, developing and steering diverse teams What you'll get for this role: Our purpose - with you today, for a better tomorrow - is a promise we make to our colleagues too.
