The Opportunity Where: London & Surrounding Areas (Flexible - one day in the office/Clients a week) Type: Full time salaried role You will be the leader of the agency's strategy practice, developing standout work to solve business problems through social.
You will partner with our Head of Social Media Intelligence to unlock unique insights and collaborate with our Creative Director to develop the best creative work.
We need someone who is not only passionate about helping brands grow through social; but also helping them have a positive impact and a clear purpose.
The ideal candidate is the perfect mix of leader, storyteller, and doer ; able to create the vision for the team, lead the development of strategists, and unlock strategies to create social-first work that helps our clients achieve their goals.
What You'll Do INNOVATIVE THOUGHT LEADERSHIP: Partner with the Creative Director and Managing Director to proactively shape the future of Social Element's strategy team and products (e.g., content strategies, paid/organic).
Create and invent new services (e.g., Influencer partnerships, social CX) to grow the agency's offerings and evolve with the changing social landscape.
CULTURE EXPERT: Partner with the Head of Data Intelligence to mine for insights that unlock brilliant creative strategies grounded in culture to cut through with audiences at all scales - from ideas with mass appeal to specific approaches for audiences with niche passion points.
You understand digital audiences of today and tomorrow to uncover the insights brands need to further their connection across social platforms.
SOCIAL NATIVE AND TRENDSPOTTER: Stay on top of the latest platform updates and social culture trends.
Identify the right moments for clients to join a trend, and partner with Creative teams to develop unique content moments for clients to lead the trends.
Understand how to build brands through social; putting social strategy at the heart of marketing for brands.
TEAM LEADERSHIP: Develop the team, guiding them to achieve goals and assist in supporting their professional development.
Upskill and grow our existing team for strong creative/strategy collaboration as well as hire the talent needed to grow new capabilities.
STRATEGIC PARTNERSHIP: Partner closely with Creative, unlocking insights that lead to strong performing creative.
Create briefs, support in content brainstorms, and deliver feedback that grows on an idea.
Develop strategic processes and practices to better the work of the agency.
CLIENT LEADER: Be the client's strategic partner, unlocking ways to achieve their goals and connect with their audiences.
Use data to craft insights and guide clients to the best path forward for their business to unlock new revenue opportunities.
PRESENTATION AND STORYTELLING: Support your recommendations through strong written, oral, presentation, and communication skills.
Leverage inspiration from surprising places to captivate audiences and convey complex thoughts, emotions, and events - simply and beautifully.
About You Extensive experience in strategy leadership for social media and digital required including leading and overseeing strategists and partnering with creative teams.
Skilled in uncovering insights through a variety of tools and techniques (NetBase Quid, Brandwatch, GWI, WARC).
An existing portfolio of real-world social strategy work, including global/regional client case studies.
Strong experience working alongside new business teams in pitches, and a proven record of helping unlock additional revenue from clients via strategic opportunities.
Proven track record of strategic talent management.
Exceptional presentation skills.
Confident in strategy creation and delivery to clients and internal stakeholders.
Influencer and paid media strategy expertise is a benefit as well as a broad understanding of digital marketing and social media.
