Position Overview: We seek a creative, data-driven, and highly motivated Head of Social & Content Marketing to lead our content strategy, creation, and distribution.
This pivotal role drives brand awareness, increases audience engagement, and creates compelling content that tells the supertri story across all digital platforms.
You will work closely with cross-functional teams (product, design, commercial) to align content with business goals and deliver measurable impact.
Position Location: Remote - US - East Coast or UK Responsibilities: Content Strategy Development: Define, scale and execute a content marketing strategy that drives audience engagement and builds a strong community around our brand and products.
Develop content plans that support lead generation, brand awareness and engagement.
Collaborate with outside teams to ensure appropriate integration with tentpole campaigns.
Content Creation & Management: Work with internal and external writers, designers, videographers, and other content creators to ensure the delivery of top-tier content.
Manage the social and editorial calendar.
Optimise all content for SEO.
Content Distribution: Work with channel owners to implement the right content positioning for their marketing channel.
Adapt and repurpose content across formats and lead the development of our content franchises.
Implement automated strategies to scale and distribute diverse content across multiple channels.
Social media strategy: Establish and oversee growth and engagement strategies for Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, and emerging platforms Performance analytics & optimisation: Set KPIs, Track, analyse, and report on content performance using data-driven insights to refine strategies and improve outcomes.
Utilise audience insights to guide content creation that increases engagement, drives traffic, and enhances supertri's digital footprint.
Team management: Lead and mentor the social and content marketing team, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and high performance.
Manage relationships with external contractors and agencies, ensuring alignment with brand goals.
Cross-functional collaboration: Work closely with the design, commercial, performance, and PR teams to create content that supports event launches, partner integrations, and series storytelling.
Coordinate with the design and video teams to ensure visual consistency and appeal in content formats.
Trend Capitalization: Leverage cultural moments, trends in sports and society, and key events in the triathlon world to produce timely and relevant content.
Lead content-first marketing campaigns designed to enhance engagement, build community, and elevate Supertri's market presence.
Commercial Impact: Develop content strategies that directly contribute to commercial goals, including driving ticket sales, growing sponsorship value, and expanding community participation.
The ideal candidate will be adept at linking content to measurable business outcomes.
Qualifications: 5+ years of experience in content marketing, social media strategy, or digital marketing, with a proven track record of building and scaling content strategies.
Strong understanding of content distribution platforms and digital marketing channels, including social media, SEO, email marketing, and video content.
Experience in data-driven marketing, with the ability to analyse performance metrics and adapt strategies accordingly.
Exceptional storytelling, with a deep understanding of brand voice and audience engagement.
Proven ability to generate creative ideas that resonate with diverse audiences and create viral moments across digital platforms.
Experience managing teams and external agencies, with strong leadership and project management skills.
Knowledge of the triathlon or endurance sports industry, as well as an understanding of athlete and community needs, is highly desirable.
Comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, with the ability to juggle multiple projects and deadlines.
