GSL Education has an exciting opportunity for a Science Teacher to join a Client Secondary Schools in Scarborough, North Yorkshire .
Head of Science Responsibilities: Provide professional leadership to the Science Department, fostering a collaborative and high-expectation culture among staff.
Oversee the design, implementation, and evaluation of a comprehensive science curriculum.
Ensure the delivery of engaging and effective science lessons.
Monitor and analyse student performance data to identify areas for improvement.
Support and develop science teaching staff through effective continuous professional development.
Manage departmental resources efficiently.
Head of Science Requirements: PGCE in Secondary Science with QTS or an equivalent UK-recognised teaching qualification.
Demonstrated successful teaching experience across the secondary school age range.
Strong subject knowledge, excellent classroom management skills, and the ability to inspire curiosity and enthusiasm for science.
Experience in leading and managing a team, with the ability to inspire and motivate staff and students A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of students.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Possess a Child Only DBS on the update service or be willing to apply for one through GSL Education.
