Head of School WSAPC Crawley S West Sussex Alternative Provision College (WSAPC) is an educational establishment based across the county (and Brighton and Hove) on 8 separate sites and two peripatetic teaching teams, providing education for pupils who are permanently excluded, at risk of exclusion or too ill to attend school.
Our ethos is to provide a FOCUS (Future, Opportunities: Curriculum, "Us", School) for our pupils to re-engage them in their learning, support re-integration to mainstream provision or suitable provision and to re-focus the young person within a positive learning environment.

WSAPC is rated as "Good" following our most recent Ofsted visit in May 2024 and Chalkhill as "outstanding" in March 2023.
What we are looking for: A dynamic, innovative and an "operationally strategic" educationalist to join our Extended Leadership Team.
The successful candidate will participate in all aspects of school leadership and will play a key role in further improving academic provision, shaping future strategy, and developing specific leadership responsibilities within your centre to support the college vision and ethos.
You will be a highly diplomatic individual and an exceptional communicator, capable of delivering results through outstanding leadership and teamwork.
You will also lead by example and be proactive in supporting the needs of the operational teams alongside your strategic responsibilities.
This is very much a "roll up your sleeves" job where you will be passionate in working with pupils with complex behaviour and mental health needs and have the skills in working with children who need "outside the box" teaching methods to achieve success for our students.
It is essential that you have the experience and confidence to work with students who have had negative experiences in the past and will test you as a leader.
You will have: QTS/QTLS First Degree or Certificate of Education Relevant senior management experience Substantial and relevant experience with Special Educational Needs and specifically SEMH.
Interest in working with Pupils with complex mental health needs.
