We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Head of Reward to join our team, reporting to the Chief People Officer.
This position will play a pivotal role at the heart of our rapidly changing business in attracting, retaining, and motivating talent by ensuring we have a competitive, equitable and engaging total reward proposition.
We are looking for a forward-thinking Reward professional who is adept at developing reward strategy whilst being excellent at ensuring flawless operational delivery.
We are open to offering the role on a 4 day week, if desirable. Key ResponsibilitiesTotal Reward Strategy Execution: Develop and execute a comprehensive plan to advance the company's Reward Strategy, working closely with the CPO, and Executive level stakeholders acting as a trusted adviser on all Reward matters.Compensation Management: Oversee the management of compensation programs, including salary structures, market benchmarking, incentive, and bonus schemes, ensuring they are competitive and equitable. Also take the lead on any compliance and regulatory requirements relating to pay, including Gender Pay Reporting and inputs to Year End reporting. Strong analytic and project management skills will be required to deliver the Annual Pay Review, Equality Review and Annual Bonus Scheme.Benefits: Manage the company's benefits portfolio, including contracted insurance provisions, pension, and flexible benefits, ensuring they deliver value to employees and are cost-effective. This will also include a need to build and maintain strong relationships with benefits suppliers, negotiating terms and managing contracts to ensure the best outcomes for the company. The role will manage the day-to-day operational aspects of benefits, including supporting the payrolling processes, plus delivery the annual renewal process for all benefits, analysing market trends and employee feedback to make informed decisions.Benefits System Implementation: Spearhead the selection and implementation of a new Benefits platform that aligns with our organisational culture and meets the evolving needs of our workforce, working in conjunction with wider colleagues.Recognition: Lead on the recognition programmes in operation across the company, ranging from manager recognition to peer-to-peer recognition. The role will have an opportunity to shape recognition in the business and will manage the transition from a Group led initiative/technology to a locally managed solution. The role will also be the key link to finance teams in providing tax information regarding BIK for recognition.Legal, Compliance and Governance: Ensure all reward, recognition and benefits programs are compliant with relevant laws and regulations and align with best practices. The role will also oversee management of complex settlement agreements in partnership with the wider People Partnering and Legal team.Operational Delivery: Executing the plan to deliver on the Reward Strategy, collaborating closely with the People Business Partnering community to land new initiatives and ensure the cyclical reward activity runs smoothly and efficiently.Capabilities NeededExtensive experience at a senior level in reward strategy development and execution, including total reward management and benefits administration.Strong understanding of UK compensation regulations and governance practices.Experience gained in similar-sized organisation and sector ideally with knowledge of WTW Grading.Demonstrated success in managing and implementing benefits platforms and supplier relationships.Ability to work effectively in fast-paced environments.Strong organisational, analytical, and commercial skills.Continuous improvement mindset with experience in optimising systems and processes.Adept at project management and change management.What is in for you?We operate a hybrid flexible working model as standard; this enables us to work from home as well as in the office.
