Our client is responsible for the delivery of planned maintenance services for social housing customers in West London.
We are assisting them to recruit a Head Of Responsive Repairs social housing to manage a team responsible for delivering repairs and maintenance services to over 10,000 tenants in London.
Working as part of a team to provide a customer focused 24/7 365 days per week responsive maintenance provision, the primary purpose of this role is to lead, manage, challenge and support managers to deliver efficient and effective services.
Key Responsibilities include: -   Leading the Residential Services operational Teams to achieve continuous improvement in the delivery of services and value for money.
Leading and managing a team to deliver a service including inspecting, scheduling, ordering and post inspection of planned works to tenanted, empty homes and other projects as required.
Ensuring efficient and effective responses are provided to all enquiries regarding planned programmes.
Assisting and deputising for the Head of Services as required.
Managing and monitoring the cost and use of materials.
Managing and monitoring subcontractors.
Liaising, communicating and working with other stakeholders, including client representatives, suppliers, contractors, colleagues, residents and others.
Being responsible for and reporting performance, both financial and operational.
Keeping up to date with all relevant compliance and mandatory training.
You will need:   Relevant experience leading multi-disciplinary teams across multiple workstreams.
Relevant experience in social housing repairs or a similar industry sector.
Good level of numeracy, literacy, written, oral and communication skills.
Strong IT skills.
HND / Degree or equivalent qualifications or experience in a construction related subject.
Ability to create and develop relationships with various stakeholders.
Demonstrable commercial acumen and experience of managing budgets in range of £10-15m.
Understanding of Health & Safety Regulations and working knowledge of Asbestos policy & procedures.
Application of Risk Assessments / Method Statements.
To be able to drive and hold a full driving licence.
The post is initially a three month contract.
