The Head of Quality, Compliance & Sustainability role will report directly to the Chief Operations Officer.
This role is fundamental to their business, being responsible for our integrated management systems, maintaining our achievement of multiple certified standards and driving sustainability as a key topic.
Quality is of critical importance to the business.
You will lead the QA team and business to achieve best practice standards & realise business objectives whilst supporting operational efficiency.
You will continually drive improvement of quality supporting all business departments to ensure that the company maintain and continually strive to exceed quality and service levels.
They hold multiple certifications, maintaining these will be essential.
Compliance is essential.
The role will be responsible for ensuring the Company's policies and procedures are in line with legislative, regulatory and ethical standards.
You will deliver compliance management and guidance to the business covering all key aspects of operations.
You will be the go-to for all compliance related topics acting a subject expert and participating in compliance related projects as the need arises.
Conducting internal audits, working with colleagues and external partners you will make recommendations and support necessary change that will mitigate legal compromise or non-compliance.
Sustainability, our focus and activity is of ever increasing importance.
Supported by a Sustainability and Compliance Manager you will establish a collaborative approach with Supply Chain colleagues and our supplier partners to ensure our ethical and environmental standards meet and exceed regulatory requirements.
Engagement with customers and the wider Group will be essential to align all activity.
Working closely with all relevant key stakeholders and colleagues the role will drive quality standards through business departments to ensure that they maintain and continually strive to exceed quality and service levels.
Knowledge, Skills, Qualifications & Experience Required: · >5 years relevant experience · Experience leading a team in a warehouse / production environment.
· Able to work on under own initiative and within a cross-functional team.
· Strategic thinker with the ability to translate plans to action.
· Ability to challenge constructively and positively champion quality.
· A proven ability to interpret regulatory requirements and communicate within the business in an understandable and digestible manner.
· Assist in quality investigations to identify root causes & implement corrective actions.
· Strong communications skills.
· Great attention to detail.
· SAP System knowledge – Foundation.
· Working knowledge of Integrated Management Systems; ISO9001, ISO14001, ISO18001, PWR, EPR, and FSC Chain of Custody.
· Environmental Management Systems and Quality Management Systems internal auditor training – preferred.
Expected salary for this role is between £60,000 to £65,000
