Booth Welsh are working with a well known Aerospace component manufacturer in Glasgow to find a Head of Quality and Safety.
As part of this role you would; Lead an expanding team of Safety and Quality professionals Oversee the maintenance of AS9100 standards Conduct audits, risk assessments and investigations to ensure best in class QM systems are robust and functional.
Contribute your expertise to the wider business by managing the overall safety and quality function at 3 sites (Glasgow, Essex & Southern Poland) This role will have a massive people-centric focus and that is something you'll have demonstrated throughout your career.
In addition, the following experience and skills will be vital to your success in the role: Proven experience in a senior safety and quality leadership role within the aerospace or related industry.
In-depth knowledge of AS9100 Rev D standards (and NADCAP) and their application in a manufacturing environment.
Strong interpersonal and leadership skills with excellent teamworking abilities Analytical - Problem Solver - Solution Driven - Safety Conscious Willingness to travel internationally and domestically (in UK, 12 times pa, internationally 4 times pa) To meet the demands of this role, you'll ideally have the following experience and qualifications; Degree in an engineering discipline Relevant qualifications in quality management and/or chartered membership of a professional body.
Extensive experience leading a quality function in aerospace and precision machining.
Demonstrated success in developing and implementing quality strategies, policies, and systems.
Proven ability to operate and influence at a strategic level.
Familiarity with maintaining AS9100 Rev D and Nadcap accreditation.
This is a business critical role and part of a department that has plans to grow further in the near future, so having the right person in place is vital to the teams overall success.
The role will be on-site, 5 days per week.
