Job Title: Head of Refrigeration Projects (UK) Location: Hybrid Salary : £70,000+ (negotiable depending on experience) and commission (OTE £XXX,XXX) Reports to: Managing Director Department: Refrigeration Projects Type: Full-time Job Summary: The Head of Refrigeration Projects (UK) will oversee and manage all refrigeration projects across the UK, ensuring successful delivery from inception to completion.
This role requires strong leadership, excellent project management skills, and in-depth technical knowledge of refrigeration systems.
The Head of Refrigeration Projects will be responsible for leading a team of project managers and engineers, liaising with key clients, and ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality and safety.
Key Responsibilities: Project Management: Lead, plan, and oversee refrigeration projects across various sectors, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery while maintaining high standards.
Team Leadership: Manage and mentor a team of project managers, engineers, and technicians, fostering a culture of collaboration, efficiency, and innovation.
Client Relations: Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, understanding their requirements and ensuring customer satisfaction throughout project lifecycles.
Budgeting & Cost Control: Oversee project budgets, ensuring effective cost control and financial performance, while managing resources effectively.
Technical Oversight: Provide technical guidance and ensure compliance with all industry standards, health and safety regulations, and company policies.
Quality Assurance: Ensure all refrigeration projects meet the company's quality standards and client expectations, addressing any issues that arise during the project lifecycle.
Stakeholder Communication: Liaise with internal and external stakeholders, providing regular updates on project status, risks, and opportunities.
Contract Negotiation: Negotiate contracts with suppliers and contractors, ensuring the best value for the company while maintaining quality and delivery timelines.
Risk Management: Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to avoid delays, budget overruns, or technical issues.
Continuous Improvement: Drive initiatives for process improvement and innovation in refrigeration project management to enhance efficiency, sustainability, and profitability.
Key Skills and Qualifications: Experience: 10+ years of experience in project management, specifically within the refrigeration industry or related fields.
Education: Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, or a related field.
Professional certifications in project management (e.g., PMP, Prince2) are preferred.
Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of refrigeration systems, including installation, maintenance, and project execution.
Leadership: Proven ability to lead and inspire project teams, with excellent organizational and interpersonal skills.
Problem Solving: Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify and resolve project challenges quickly and effectively.
Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex information to stakeholders at all levels.
Budget Management: Experience managing large-scale project budgets and controlling costs effectively.
Client-Focused: A strong focus on client satisfaction and building long-term business relationships.
Regulatory Knowledge: Up-to-date knowledge of UK building regulations, health and safety laws, and environmental standards related to refrigeration projects.
