Info about what the Head of Projects role entails Our client delivers a comprehensive range of electrical installation services across five core residential teams, specializing in process and production-critical environments.
Their work spans from traditional electrical infrastructure upgrades, such as lighting replacements, to implementing safety improvements on critical production assets.
This role is pivotal as the client seeks to expand organically within their core service areas.
Currently, their residential teams manage diverse projects, with values ranging from £1,000 to £1,000,000.
With a strong presence among established blue-chip companies, our client is looking for an enthusiastic senior leader with a demonstrated track record to drive growth across both the project services stream and their target geographical region.
Some of the key responsibilities include: Lead and manage multiple residential electrical contract teams to ensure timely, cost-effective, and high-quality project delivery across customer sites.
Oversee the project services budget, with full accountability for the delivery of all project activities and adherence to financial targets.
Drive growth within residential sites, seeking new opportunities across the East and South East regions.
Supervise and develop residential electricians, project managers, and contractors to maintain a skilled and motivated workforce.
Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, contractors, and stakeholders, acting as the main contact for all project-related queries.
Ensure compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and quality control, promoting a culture of safety and reporting project status to senior management.
Requirements of the Head of Projects role Comprehensive understanding of electrical systems, industry standards, and regulatory compliance.
Solid financial skills, with proven experience in budgeting, forecasting, and controlling costs.
Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal abilities.
Skilled at managing multiple projects, with strong prioritization and task delegation capabilities.
Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to handling challenges.
