Check us out here: www.abbottlyon.com | Instagram: @abbottlyon Role Overview: As the Head of Product, you will lead the coordination and strategic execution of new product launches, ensuring our product vision aligns with business goals and market demand, reporting directly to Product Director.
You'll work cross-functionally with brand, marketing, and merchandising teams to oversee the product lifecycle—from initial concept through to market release.
Key areas of focus include leading buying across jewellery & lifestyle accessories products, managing the product launch calendar, building and overseeing critical paths from design to launch, managing supplier comms, handing over product details to wider team, and analysing product performance to drive business decisions.
Key Responsibilities: Product Development & Strategy: Maintain supplier/product trackers, oversee product setup with customisation details, and work closely with brand and marketing to plan campaign and launch calendars that meet strategic goals.
Project Management: Ensure all product development critical paths and monthly launch schedules are met, coordinating cross-functional deadlines across design, merchandising, and operations.
Photoshoot & Campaign Support: Coordinate e-commerce and campaign photoshoot samples, manage product presentations, and support shoot planning with tailored campaign visuals.
Product Launch Execution: Lead product handover and information sharing, validate product details (PDP), and work with the marketing team to support product exposure.
Data Analysis & Reporting: Track top-sellers weekly, share insights with the team, and conduct quarterly product analysis to drive new product development decisions.
Requirements: Proven experience in a senior buying role within the jewellery/accessories sector, with a deep understanding of buying trends and practices in this category.
Experience leading product management, development, or merchandising in retail/e-commerce.
Strong organisational and analytical skills with expertise in Excel/Google Sheets.
Effective communicator with a collaborative approach to cross-departmental work.
Skilled in analysing market trends and consumer insights to inform product decisions.
Demonstrated experience managing products from concept through to market launch.
Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally.
