Role Overview As the Head of Product at Larkbury London, you will play a pivotal role in driving the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for our luxury furniture range.
You will oversee the end-to-end product development process, ensuring that every piece aligns with our commitment to quality, design, and sustainability.
Collaborating closely with design, production, marketing, and sales teams, you will be responsible for bringing to life collections that meet the high standards of our brand and resonate with our clientele.
Additionally, you will oversee stock management and showroom operations to ensure optimal availability and a premium in-store experience.
Key Responsibilities Product Strategy & Vision: Develop and execute a compelling product strategy aligned with Larkbury London's brand vision and market needs, driving long-term growth and positioning the company as a leader in luxury furniture.
Portfolio Management: Lead and manage the entire product lifecycle from ideation through to launch and beyond, ensuring a well-balanced product portfolio that aligns with trends, customer preferences, and brand positioning.
Market Research & Insights: Conduct market research to understand industry trends, customer preferences, and competitive dynamics to inform product decisions and capitalize on emerging opportunities.
Design Collaboration: Work closely with the design team to shape product concepts that embody the luxury aesthetic and quality standards of the brand while pushing the boundaries of innovation and sustainability.
Product Development: Oversee the product development process, coordinating with production, sourcing, and operations to ensure timelines, budgets, and quality standards are met.
Sustainability Focus: Champion sustainable product practices, ensuring materials, processes, and designs support Larkbury London's commitment to environmental responsibility.
Stock Management: Oversee stock levels, working closely with supply chain and logistics teams to ensure optimal availability of product ranges.
Monitor stock turnover and proactively manage inventory levels to meet demand and reduce excess.
Showroom Management: Work with showroom teams to ensure a luxurious and brand-aligned in-store experience.
Oversee showroom layout, product displays, and seasonal updates, ensuring that each showroom reflects the Larkbury London aesthetic and showcases products to their fullest potential.
Cross-Functional Leadership: Collaborate with marketing, sales, and e-commerce teams to ensure successful product launches, impactful positioning, and comprehensive go-to-market strategies.
Financial Management: Set and manage the product budget, ensuring that new product lines meet financial targets and contribute to the company's growth.
Customer Experience: Ensure every product delivers a luxury experience from the initial concept through to final use, delighting customers and enhancing brand loyalty.
Qualifications Experience: Proven experience (8+ years) in a product management role within the luxury or high-end consumer goods industry, ideally within furniture, interior design, or a related field.
Leadership: Strong leadership skills with experience in managing and developing product teams.
Able to inspire cross-functional collaboration and influence key stakeholders at all levels.
Product & Stock Expertise: Deep understanding of luxury product development processes, stock management, market trends, and customer expectations in the high-end furniture sector.
Strategic Vision: A strategic thinker with the ability to anticipate market trends and drive a long-term product vision that aligns with Larkbury London's brand values and growth objectives.
Design and Aesthetic Sensibility: A keen eye for design, with a passion for furniture and interiors, and an understanding of the luxury consumer's mindset.
Data-Driven Decision Making: Proficient in using data and analytics to inform product and stock management decisions, with a focus on continuous improvement.
Sustainability Commitment: Knowledge and passion for sustainable practices, with the ability to integrate eco-friendly processes and materials into the product lifecycle.
Showroom Management: Experience in managing or collaborating with showroom teams, with a strong understanding of in-store merchandising and layout design.
Communication Skills: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate product concepts, inspire teams, and present to executive leadership.
Education: Bachelor's degree in Product Management, Business, Design, or a related field (MBA or advanced degree preferred).
