My client, who are passionate about promoting a culture of equality, diversity and inclusion, are currently recruiting for a Head of Procurement to manage a team that delivers commercial / category management / procurement / contract management activities across a range of spend areas including professional services / consultancy, construction / property / FM / works, IT and corporate.
The successful candidate will act as an advisory into board members, as well as collaborate across a wider Public Sector community, to help shape innovation and delivery.
You'll also be responsible for the effective integration of the new Procurement Act and procurement process innovation, with a significant focus on sustainable procurement / responsible procurement / social value, as well as income generation and cost management.
The successful candidate will ideally bring a blend of the following skills / experience: - Procurement leadership / management experience gained within a Public Sector procurement regulated environment - PCR2015 / OJEU / Procurement Act – essential Great senior stakeholder relationship engagement skills / business partnering approach which promotes procurement as an enabler.
An inclusive leader with both an internal and cross-organisational collaborative approach Experience of developing and implementing sustainable / responsible procurement policies Experience of leading / working across a number of indirect categories / spend areas.
