GVA Search is proud to be partnering with a rapidly growing, FMCG business in central London, who is looking to recruit a Head of Procurement. This role will lead in developing and executing strategic purchasing initiatives and is integral in improving business performance. This is a newly developed role, that reports directly to the Commercial Director with responsibility for all areas of the Procurement process.
Responsibilities And Requirements Include
Manage and oversee the end-to-end procurement process.Stakeholder and supplier engagement across a range of categories including the engagement of new suppliers and nurturing of existing relationships.Support and deliver contract negotiation, contract drafting and contract management.Effective team management of a small team of direct reports and remote reports, with responsibility for training and development whilst driving compliance and best practices. Create and implement the Procurement Category Strategy.Responsible to improvement of reporting of supplier performanceExperience delivering multiple projects to meet business affordability targets and achievement of KPI's through strong supplier & stakeholder relationship management.Demonstrating success in managing supplier relationships, contracts and negotiations.Ideally will have experience of working within a large, fast-paced FMCG business with a proven ability to reduce costs and exhibit strategic procurement decision-making.
This is an exciting opportunity for progression for a commercial individual who is looking for a new challenge within a thriving FMCG business. The ideal candidate will hold relevant qualifications within procurement (CIPS) or equivalent and ideally with an FMCG background. You will have confident team management skills, providing a positive environment for development and encouraging a collaborative approach in all areas.
