Job overview WATFORD GRAMMAR SCHOOL FOR BOYS A leading UK State School for boys aged 11-18 with a national reputation for academic excellence 'An outstanding school' - OFSTED 2021 Required for September 2025 Head of Philosophy, Religion & Ethics M1 – UPS 3 (£33,075 - £50,471 per annum) plus TLR 1.1 £9,782 per annum We wish to appoint an enthusiastic, well-qualified PRE specialist to lead a dynamic department which is popular with large numbers choosing to study PRE at GCSE and A level.
Examination results are excellent and the subject enjoys a high status within the school.
This role also involves responsibility for the provision of religious education for all students in each key stage as part of our core PRE provision and has a responsibility for leading with respect to the school's designation as an Academy with a religious character (CoE).
