Head of People and Organisational Development Salary from £61,512 per annum Bournemouth, Christchurch, Poole (BCP) The Vacancy We have an exciting new opportunity to join our team as Head of People and Organisational Development.
Reporting directly to the CEO, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the organisation to achieve its vision and future goals.
You will provide strategic leadership and direction for the People and Organisational Development functions by developing ways to enhance staff engagement, drive organisational change, promote and implement Equality, Diversity and Inclusion strategies, and support overall growth and development.
Key responsibilities will include: Strategic Leadership Create detailed strategic plans outlining goals, initiatives, timelines, and resource allocations.
Align strategies with broader organisational goals, supporting growth, efficiency, and innovation.
Develop metrics and KPIs to monitor implementation and impact.
Develop policies and programmes that promote a culture of continuous improvement, focusing on safe, effective, and high-quality practices within the organisation.
Collaborate with executive directors and department heads to ensure alignment.
Develop and implement programmes to foster a positive, inclusive, and high-performance culture.
Implement initiatives promoting work-life balance, employee well-being, and job satisfaction.
Develop leadership programmes to equip managers to drive engagement and cultural initiatives.
Monitor employee engagement levels and cultural health, using data to inform strategies.
Human Resources Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements while promoting best practices.
Design and lead initiatives to increase employee engagement, including recognition programmes and feedback mechanisms.
Integrate diversity and inclusion principles into all areas of our people practice.
Develop and implement a strategic recruitment plan.
Develop retention strategies to reduce turnover and retain top talent.
Oversee the design and delivery of training programmes.
Manage employee relations issues, including conflict resolution and grievances.
Oversee the development and implementation of HR policies with a strong emphasis on safety and quality.
Ensure policies are compliant with laws and reflect best practices.
Ensure that recruitment, retention, and training processes prioritise safe practices and compliance with all relevant safety standards and legal requirements.
Health and Wellbeing Develop and implement a comprehensive health and well-being strategy that promotes a positive and supportive work environment, encouraging a balanced approach to mental, emotional, and physical health.
Business Intelligence Utilise data analytics to drive strategic initiatives and improve service delivery.
Communication and Staff Engagement Develop and implement communication strategies.
Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Ensure compliance with EDI legislation and best practices.
Foster an inclusive workplace culture that values diversity.
Qualifications and experience: Educated to degree level in Human Resources or Organisational Development or a related field.
Leadership development and/or Master's degree in a specific related area is desirable.
Chartered Member CIPD or equivalent qualification is desirable.
Proven track record of leading strategic HR and organisational development initiatives.
Experience in workforce planning and talent management.
Strong leadership and management skills.
Analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data.
High level of integrity and professionalism Knowledge of employment law and its application in large organisations.
Collaborative and inclusive leadership style.
Strong commitment to a performance culture and accountability.
Ability to engender trust, confidence, and credibility.
Experience working with Trade Unions is desirable.
Flexible in working pattern to fulfil commitments with the ability to travel around Tricuro services as required.
