We are seeking an experienced Operations Manager with proven Quality, H&S, Business Development and Project Management experience. Reporting to the Managing Director, the post holder will be an experienced Operations professional and an active member of the management team. Main Duties & Responsibilities Manage entire operations of projects, ensuring delivery is efficient, on time and to a high standard. Lead and motivate workshop staff ensuring they are aware of their individual objectives, are competent to achieve them and their performances are monitored, realistically assessed and improved where appropriate. Directly responsible for the scheduling and manufacturing of jobs that are issued from our innovative design team. Managing and improving the Company's QHSE systems and encouraging a culture of excellence and compliance. Logistical responsibilities such as scheduling installations, organising employee workload, ordering materials. Sourcing and identifying potential business opportunities and collaborations. Arranging and attending meetings with clients and preparing proposals and quotes. Maintaining accurate contact records and a detailed sales pipeline using CRM software. Staying informed on developments in the waste and recycling sector. Key point of contact for external ISO certifications and lead audits. Evaluate and analyse quality issues in production and implement corrective and preventive actions, including supplier development as appropriate. Prepare risk assessments, safe working procedures and deliver toolbox talks. Prepare Method Statements for on-site projects. Provide technical guidance and support to colleagues and customers. Required Skills & Experience Quality management experience within a manufacturing/engineering industry. Knowledge of mechanical manufacturing processes - must be able to read and interpret detailed fabrication drawings. Experience in leading and managing a workshop team towards achieving an increased output of excellent quality. Driven individual who can take ideas and implement them successfully, contributing positively to the planned development and expansion of the workshops. Proven track record as a Health and Safety Professional, with experience of maintaining a safety-first culture. Performed principal contractor role, fully conversant with CDM Regulations. High level of competency and accuracy in writing and maintaining clear and professional documentation relating to integrated management systems. Project Management experience. Proven sales experience within recycling or fabrication industries. Excellent communication, negotiation and presentation skills. Proven, demonstrable and thorough knowledge of ISO Standards. NEBOSH and/or IOSH qualified. Bachelor's degree in industrial engineering, mechanical engineering, or related fields with a strong emphasis in project management. Highly proficient in all Microsoft applications. Ability to identify needs, prioritise workloads, set achievable targets, evaluate progress and to meet deadlines. Identifying employee training needs and delivering talks/inductions/briefings for QHSE disciplines. Full clean driving licence as occasional site visits will be required.
