We are looking for an expert in process improvement, operational improvement strategies and business transformation.
This is a permanent position based in Birmingham working hybrid remotely.
About the Role: My client is seeking a highly motivated and results-oriented Head of Operational Excellence to lead and drive significant enhancements across all aspects of their business.
This critical role will be responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive operational excellence strategy, identifying and implementing process improvements, and supporting business transformation initiatives.
Key Responsibilities: Develop and implement an operational excellence strategy: Define and measure key performance indicators (KPIs) for operational efficiency and effectiveness.
Conduct thorough operational assessments, identifying areas for improvement and quantifying potential benefits.
Develop and implement roadmaps for continuous improvement across all departments and functions.
Champion a culture of continuous improvement throughout the organization.
Lead process improvement initiatives: Utilize Lean, Six Sigma, or other relevant methodologies to streamline and optimize business processes.
Design and implement process mapping, root cause analysis, and change management strategies.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement process improvements.
Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of process improvements and make adjustments as needed.
Support business transformation initiatives: Play a key role in the development and implementation of strategic business transformation initiatives.
Analyze market trends and competitive landscapes to identify opportunities for operational innovation.
Evaluate and implement new technologies and tools to enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness.
Lead or contribute to projects related to organizational restructuring, system implementations, and other major change initiatives.
Develop and mentor the team: Build and lead a high-performing team of operational improvement professionals.
Provide coaching, mentorship, and professional development opportunities to team members.
Foster a collaborative and supportive team environment.
Stakeholder Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders across all levels of the organization.
Effectively communicate progress, challenges, and recommendations to senior leadership.
Present findings and recommendations in a clear, concise, and persuasive manner.
Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, or a related field.
7+ years of experience in operational improvement, process improvement, or a related field.
Proven experience in leading and implementing successful operational excellence initiatives.
Strong understanding of Lean, Six Sigma, or other relevant methodologies.
Experience in a professional services environment (highly preferred).
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
Strong project management and organizational skills.
Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong leadership, mentorship, and coaching skills.
