The Head of New Business will run the business development function as well as being an integral part of the Commercial leadership team. It is a critical role with a wide-ranging remit to improve the new business function in order to grow the revenue and profitability of the business. The role requires strategic and operational leadership, superb people skills, drive, ambition, great communication skills, as well as an understanding of operating in a regulated environment.
Please note this role will require twice-weekly travel to our Newcastle-Under-Lyme office.
A day in the life:Recruitment, training, and development of the business development teamDevelopment of the sales strategy; key sectors to enter, type of merchants to target, implementing a robust and consistent sales methodologyPartnership strategy; identification, qualification, and relationship building with key strategic partnersPipeline management; expanding the existing new business pipeline, enhancing the qualification process, identifying margin opportunitiesIncreasing B2B brand awarenessWorking with the commercial team to establish and agree a clear go-to-market product feature strategyAbout you:You'll be an experienced senior business development leader, having worked in a regulated environmentProven ability to inspire and develop a team of business development managers at varying levelsDemonstrable operational and strategic leadership that has led to significant growthFlexible working?
