The role We are looking for someone to confidently lead the Workplace New Business function.
The successful candidate will be responsible for evolving the new business strategy to develop a strong market presence, build and maintain a robust new business pipeline and support business retention activity.
Some key responsibilities are: Leading, engaging, developing and motivating the New Business team to deliver on challenging targets and key business objectives.
Responsible for managing the relationship with key advisers, developing a pipeline of new business opportunities and oversee through implementation into BAU.
.Building relationships with key external stakeholders including clients and Advisers to ensure provision of service meets/exceeds client expectation and evolve our offering accordingly.
Using commercial awareness to help establish competitive and commercially viable proposals.
Act as a point of escalation and resolution both internally and externally.
Responsible for defining and evolving the New Business strategy in line with our growth ambitions, taking into account future recruitment and ensuring adequate resources are in place to support the function.
Build a market presence through lead visibility at key industry events (.
PLSA, Corporate Adviser Summit) and SL hosted events (.
Thinking Forward) What are we looking for?We are looking for the right person who: Has a proven track record within a senior Workplace DC Sales role, with demonstrable performance against targets and business objectives.
Experience in establishing strong relationships with senior stakeholders across the wider business to ensure we meet or exceed client expectations.
Has the ability to lead a team virtually with disparate colleagues.
Ability to manage conflicting and varying demands, often under pressure.
Will confidently represent Standard Life externally at key EBC meetings and at client pitches for new business and retention of existing clients.
