Wayman Group is excited to announce a remarkable opportunity for a highly motivated and experienced individual to join our team as the Head of Music at an incredible school in Harrow.
This position is set to start in September and offers the chance to lead the music department in delivering an exceptional music education experience to students.
As the Head of Music, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and developing the music curriculum, while creating an inclusive and inspiring learning environment that nurtures students' passion for music.
Working closely with students, teachers, parents, and other stakeholders, you will lead the music department to achieve outstanding results and provide invaluable music education experiences.
ResponsibilitiesLead and manage the music department, providing guidance and support to a team of music teachersDevelop and implement an engaging and comprehensive music curriculum aligned with national standardsPlan and deliver captivating music lessons to students of different ages and abilitiesIdentify and nurture musical talent among students, providing opportunities for performances and competitionsOrganize and coordinate various music events, including concerts, recitals, and workshopsCollaborate with other departments to integrate music into cross-curricular activities and promote interdisciplinary learningStay informed about the latest developments and advancements in music education, incorporating innovative teaching methods and technologiesMinimum RequirementsA degree in Music Education or a related fieldQualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalentProven experience as a music teacher, with a track record of delivering outstanding music educationStrong leadership and management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a teamExtensive knowledge of music theory, history, and practical skillsAbility to plan and deliver engaging and dynamic music lessonsExcellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, teachers, parents, and other stakeholdersUp-to-date knowledge of industry standards and educational requirements, including national curriculum guidelines for music educationA passion for music and a commitment to providing exceptional music educationApplication If you are interested in the position of Head of Music at our incredible school in Harrow, please submit your resume highlighting your qualifications for the role.
