Wayman Group is currently seeking a highly motivated and experienced individual to join our team as the Head of Music at a brilliant school in Harrow. This exciting opportunity is set to start in September and is perfect for individuals passionate about music education within the primary/secondary education industry.
As the Head of Music, you will be responsible for leading and managing the music department at the school, overseeing the delivery of high-quality music education to students. You will work closely with students, teachers, parents, and other stakeholders to create a positive and inclusive learning environment that fosters a love for music.
ResponsibilitiesLead and manage the music department, providing guidance and support to a team of music teachersDevelop the school's music curriculum, ensuring alignment with national standards and educational requirementsPlan and deliver engaging and interactive music lessons to students across different age groups and abilitiesIdentify and nurture musical talent among students, providing opportunities for performances and competitionsOrganize and coordinate music events, including concerts, recitals, and workshopsCollaborate with other departments within the school to integrate music into cross-curricular activitiesStay up-to-date with industry trends and developments in music education, incorporating innovative teaching methods and technologiesMinimum RequirementsA degree in Music Education or a related fieldQualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalentExtensive experience as a music teacher, with a proven track record of delivering outstanding music educationStrong leadership and management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a teamExcellent knowledge of music theory, history, and practical skillsAbility to plan and deliver dynamic and engaging music lessonsEffective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, teachers, parents, and other stakeholdersKnowledge of relevant industry standards and educational requirements, including national curriculum guidelines for music education.Application To be considered for this Head of Music Teacher position please forward a CV as soon as possible.
