In this pivotal role, you'll oversee three highly effective teams and be tasked with transforming them into truly outstanding performers .
You will take ownership of planning, organising, and maintaining the curriculum, ensuring that student records are captured, managed, and used to support key decisions across the institution.
Additionally, you'll ensure that timetabling is optimised to make the best use of resources, providing students and teachers with timely and efficient scheduling information.
But it doesn't stop there!
As the Head of MIS, Timetabling, and Admissions, you'll lead on data analytics and reporting , pushing forward innovative approaches to automation and streamlining systems.
Your work will ensure data accuracy, compliance , and the effective use of business intelligence to drive performance across the college.
What you'll be doing: Leading and motivating the MIS, Timetabling, and Admissions teams to achieve ambitious goals and drive innovation .
Ensuring accurate, secure, and timely data processing for the college, including student data, attendance, and curriculum information.
Overseeing the production of annual timetables, working closely with key stakeholders to ensure maximum resource efficiency .
Collaborating with the Executive for Business Intelligence, Growth & Skills to embed a culture of well-being, engagement, and continuous improvement .
Managing the admissions process to optimise student recruitment, ensuring timely and efficient handling of applications.
Using data-driven insights to improve performance, drive decision-making, and develop outstanding reporting systems.
Leading the development of the MI Systems to enhance functionality and improve efficiency's across the institution.
Ensuring compliance with funding rules and maintaining the highest standards of audit and data quality .
What we're looking for: In-depth knowledge of the FE sector and its funding structures.
Proven experience managing MIS and timetabling systems within a large, complex organisation.
A track record of leading and developing high-performing teams .
Expertise in SQL and knowledge of Pro Suite (ProSolution, ProMonitor, ProPortal) or similar systems.
Strong understanding of data reporting, analytics, and innovative use of automation .
Experience driving performance through data management and strategic planning .
This is a full-time, office-based role in Plymouth, UK , starting on an interim basis for 3 months , with the potential for extension.
The position offers a competitive salary of £49,000 (with flexibility for the right candidate).
