Meet Cambridge is seeking an experienced, dynamic leader with a passion for the business events industry to join the organisation as Head of Meet Cambridge.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the meetings, incentives, conferences and exhibitions (MICE) industry, with a proven track record of driving business growth, fostering strategic partnerships, and destination marketing. The Head of Meet Cambridge will be responsible for the overall strategic direction, operational management, and financial performance of the bureau.
As Head of Meet Cambridge, you will: Lead a dedicated team of professionals to deliver outstanding venue-finding services.Drive strategic growth through business development.Foster strong relationships with stakeholders including academic institutions, corporate clients and event organisers.Enhance our brand presence and market positioning.Manage the operational efficiency and financial performance of Meet Cambridge.What we're looking for: Proven experience of at least seven years in the MICE industry, with at least 3-5 years in a leadership role.Exceptional strategic thinking and business acumen.Strong communication and interpersonal skills.A track record of successful stakeholder management.Passion for promoting Cambridge as a leading destination for business events.What we offer: A competitive salary of up to £52,815 per annum (pay award pending).Company pension scheme.Potential to work compressed hours.Hybrid working opportunities.The role is based in central Cambridge and there will be travel on occasions both nationally and internationally, as well as a requirement to work outside normal office hours from time-to-time.
