My client has experienced exponential growth in recent years and in order to meet demand, they are looking for a Head of Manufacturing to join the business in a newly created position.
Managing a small team, this role will see you scale up manufacturing and supply chain capability so that increasing demand can be sustained by the business.
This position will afford you the opportunity to travel within the UK as well as internationally visiting a variety of suppliers and manufacturers. Responsibilities: Translate the stock demand forecasts into a production plan and control stockholding, workflow and production schedule to meet demand.Develop the manufacturing function in line with the needs of the business.
Recruit, train and develop an appropriate workforce and outsourced capability.
Manage capital and operating budgets for the function.Source and manage all manufacturing subcontractors (raw material suppliers, subassembly, assembly partners etc.).
Create a robust production supply chain capable of meeting both current and future demand and quality standards.Ensure product manufacture meets cost of goods targets.Ensure product manufacture meets all regulatory requirements and maintains ISO accreditation.Create and execute the plan for production scale up and scale out to meet the planned expansion of the business.Requirements: 10+ years general experience in manufacturing and supply chain management in relevant industries - ideally having medical device experience.ISO13485 experience.Demonstrable experience of overseeing periods of transformation within a business - scale up of a start-up business, restructuring, a site move.A track record of establishing manufacturing in a new venture or rapid expansion situation.Strong IT, project management, and analytical skills; able to operate effectively and influence across the organisation, with good interpersonal, communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.Willingness to travel across the UK and internationally.If you are interested in this role or looking for something similar please contact Jack Lavis directly at ****** or call for a confidential discussion on 02920 894900.
