Major Gifts are a key income stream for Thames Hospice as we have embarked on an ambitious strategy to significantly grow our fundraising income over the next five years to keep up with the growing financial pressures hospices are facing.
As Head of Major Gifts you will be an integral part of shaping and developing the fundraising strategy to grow income through strong relationships with major donors, trusts and companies to protect the future sustainability of Thames Hospice.
You will inspire your team and lead on the delivery of the major gifts programme through building high level relationships with Major Donors, Trusts and Corporates and supporting your team to do the same.
You will lead and develop the strategic and operational plans for Major Gifts and develop strong relationships with staff throughout the hospice to create compelling and powerful proposals, stories and great content to secure support.
You will be able to develop your own networks within the sector to provide continual learning and support.
We are looking for someone with proven experience of working in a fundraising relationship building role that has resulted in 5-6 figure gifts (ideally multiyear/recurrent gifts) from a mix of individuals, trusts and corporates and you will have delivered successful major gift campaigns.You will be able to demonstrate your knowledge of creating and implementing strategy that builds engagement, works towards targets and KPIs and develops a strong philanthropic culture.
