About this Role We are looking for a Head of IT to join us on a part-time basis, ideally 2 days a week, and help us position the Company for a period of rapid scaling.
The Head of ITwill be key in shaping our technology function and strategy, and in ensuring that our technology resources are scalable and aligned with our business needs.
Our ideal candidate will have had a wide exposure to different functions within the field of technology and will be as comfortable advising on strategic objectives as they are working on the hands-on day to day.
Key Accountabilities Reviewing and making recommendations on the following:
Review and propose recommendations for a scalable technology function for Fideres, including outsourced IT support, information security, cyber security, and internal software/data engineersDevelop business plans for technology to support Fideres's strategyAct as the key point of contact for our current and future outsourced IT support providersEnsure robust cybersecurity measures are in placeWork closely with the COO to ensure technology solutions align fully with business needsPrepare and run RfPs for future technology needsWork closely with our Head of People and COO to on staffing, training and hiring plansCoach and mentor key stakeholdersOther IT related projects as requiredKey Skills and Attributes The successful candidate will have:
Prior experience in a CTO or similar role for a research driven consulting businessIn depth knowledge of software infrastructure and IT supportStrong commercial awareness and ability to align strategy and business needsAbility to explain complex topics to non-specialistsRelevant academic credentialsWilling to be both strategic and hands-onCommercial and intellectual acumen Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
