**Please note this role is contracted for roughly 12-14 months, based in our brand-new London Office** SThree are pleased to announce we're recruiting for a talented Head of Internal Audit to join our dynamic team on a fixed term basis.
The role is to cover the Head of Internal Audit to ensure the internal audit department provides effective reporting to the Group Audit & Risk Committee and independent assurance that risks are adequately identified, internal controls are suitably designed for the related business risks, and that these are operating as intended.

What are the day-to-day tasks? Develop the annual risk-based internal audit planDirect the planning and performance of the audits to meet the annual plan producing quality deliverables while ensuring audits are completed timely and within budgetFinal sign off of engagement program (including scope) and audit reportsAssure compliance with International IIA standards and internal ways of workingMonitor agreed actions and ensure recommendations are implemented on timeImplement and review progress against the Quality Assurance and Improvement ProgramStay up to date with regulations, IIA standards, emerging risks and internal changesConduct fraud-related and other special investigations as they ariseDevelop and maintain effective relationships with a wide range of stakeholders including Executive Committee (ExCo), Audit & Risk Committee, Head of Functions and External Auditors whilst maintaining independencePrepare quarterly reports and present at the Audit & Risk CommitteePrepare reports and present at the Risk CommitteePrepare monthly audit point progress reports for ExCoManagement and development of Internal Audit Manager including 1:1 and performance reviewsDevelopment of wider team together with Internal Audit ManagerWhat else are we looking for? Experience Minimum five years Head of Audit experience in the private sector ideally for a multinational listed companyExperience reporting to Board/Audit & Risk CommitteeIT audit or co-sourcing experience desirableExperience working in less regulated industries desirableSkills & Knowledge Extensive knowledge of internal audit, risk and control frameworksExtensive knowledge of the IIA Standards and best practisesExcellent communication skills and ability to influence while operating with honesty and integrityExcellent leadership skills including motivating and developing team membersEmbracing and adapting to changeWorking knowledge of IT systems and standard office products is essential (Microsoft 365 Suite with strong Excel skills, ERP such as SAP/D365).
