DescriptionAre you an experienced, strategic Health, Safety, Environment and Quality professional looking for a new challenge with a leading contractor? You have an exciting opportunity to join a reputable civil engineering contractor as Head of HSEQ, operating across the utilities and civil engineering sector. Due to the nature of the projects involved, you will have demonstrable experience of civil engineering environments and mitigating the risk in these environments. Water experience is preferable but not essential.
Reporting into the HSEQ Director, you will be:
Providing consistent and accurate HSEQ Leadership, support and advice to HSEQ Team membersLeading HSEQ initiativesProviding operational safety, health, environment and quality support throughout the regionForming collaborative relationships with Clients and their senior HSEQ representativesProviding a key liaison in Health, Safety, Environment and Quality with internal and external stakeholdersDriving best practice in a challenging health and safety environmentKnowledge of safety, health & environmental legislation and current construction practices is key, as is the ability to coach, mentor and lead from site to board level. You will also be:
Health & Safety Diploma-qualifiedExperienced in utilities or civil engineering projects (ESSENTIAL)CEnv or AIEMA (ESSENTIAL)Dynamic and personableAble to lead site teams with safety, health and environment issuesDriven and autonomousThis is an excellent chance for you to help the company drive their Health, Safety & Environment culture. You will earn a competitive salary of between £75-85,000 (dependant on experience) plus car and package with flexible working entertained where practicable. You will be instrumental in ensuring a homogenous approach to HSEQ companywide and build an impressive portfolio of experience.
