About the Company - A wonderful opportunity has arisen for an experienced Head of Health and Safety to join the team here on our prestigious estate.
Stoke Park is a historic luxury estate situated at the heart of a 300-acre Capability Brown landscape and host to a 27-hole golf course.
With the exception of some golf play, the estate is currently closed for restoration, therefore many of the H&S activities centre on facilities, estate management and looking to the future with the project masterplan.

About the Role - We are seeking an experienced and proactive Head of Health and Safety to oversee and implement safety strategies within the business.
You will play a key leadership role in setting and enforcing health and safety policies, monitoring safety standards, conducting regular training, and fostering a safety-conscious culture.
Your expertise in managing risk and navigating health and safety regulations in the hospitality industry will be crucial to your success.
The Head of Health & Safety will take a leading role in ensuring a safe, compliant, and well-managed environment across the establishment.

Responsibilities Risk Management: Identify, assess, and manage potential risks across all operational areas, conducting regular risk assessments and implementing measures to mitigate any identified hazards.
Compliance & Best Practices: Ensure full compliance with local, national, and international health and safety regulations.
Drive best practices in health, safety, and hygiene across all departments.
Workplace Wellness & Employee Safety: Promote a safe and healthy work environment by addressing ergonomic concerns, reducing workplace stress, and promoting overall well-being.
Vendor and Contractor Safety Management: Manage safety compliance for external vendors and contractors working on-site, ensuring they adhere to the same safety standards as in-house staff.
Conduct safety inductions for contractors and suppliers before work begins, outlining site-specific health and safety rules and regulations.
Training & Development: Oversee health and safety training programmes, ensuring all staff members are well-versed in relevant protocols.
Work closely with department heads to foster a culture of safety and accountability.
Establish a H&S training needs/compliance matrix, listing training achievements and needs by employee, in respect to their individual job role.
Deliver a calendar of both practical/technical and online H&S training across the estate.
Audit & Reporting: Coordinate quarterly H&S audits, support departmental compliance and instil a continual review process.
Maintain meticulous records and documentation to support regulatory requirements.
Health and Safety Budget and Resources Management: Manage the health and safety department budget, ensuring proper allocation for safety initiatives, training, equipment, and supplies.
Qualifications - Has a minimum of 10 years' experience working in a similar role, preferably within the hospitality industry.
A can-do positive attitude, great team player and a natural completer finisher on tasks.
Is confident, engaging and a clear communicator.
Detail-oriented and meticulous in assessing safety hazards and procedures.
Friendly and approachable.
Able to communicate at all levels.
A proactive and results-driven leader, able to implement changes effectively.
Trustworthy, polite and professional.
A role model for compliance.
Strong problem-solving skills, with a calm and measured approach in emergency situations.
Ability to collaborate with different teams and departments to instil a culture of safety.
Will hold relevant H&S qualifications including IOSH and NEB OSH.
