Head of Marketing - B2B Events / Publishing - London - Maternity Cover Contract *You must have at least 6 years' commercial experience in overseeing Marketing campaigns for Global B2B events / publishing and team management experience in order to be considered for this role* This is a hybrid role with 3 days in the Central London office per week This is an exciting opportunity to join a fast-growing B2B publishing and market intelligence business as a Head of Marketing for a 12-15 Month Maternity Leave contract.
The successful candidate will take a lead role in developing the marketing strategy and delivering it across a portfolio of international B2B events (conferences and awards).
Leading a small marketing team, you will have strong experience in B2B events with a track record of revenue growth.
Main requirements: At least 6 years' B2B marketing experience across international events (mainly conferences and awards) Subscriptions experience would be beneficial, but not essential.
Experience with Salesforce, Pardot, Marketo, or similar marketing tools preferred Strong team management experience Strong project management skills.
Experience working in a marketing operations role would be ideal.
Strong understanding of data segmentation and segmented campaigns.
Experience working with sales / business development functions Experience with working with senior stakeholders Significant experience in analysing data and the ability to convert data into meaningful insight Significant experience working in Analytics tools (e.g.
Google Analytics) Significant experience in owned, earned and paid marketing channels IT Literate; MS office, advanced Excel Main responsibilities: Develop and execute the annual global marketing strategy to drive growth across all product categories.
Serve as the primary liaison for senior management on marketing initiatives and projects.
Work closely with key stakeholders—including Digital Marketing, Product Marketing, Sponsorship Sales, and IT & Data teams—to ensure alignment on strategies, plans, and product objectives.
Lead data acquisition efforts and collaborate with data and campaign teams across the business to optimise data spend and maximise ROI.
Oversee the project management of all data-related activities.
Manage a team of three marketers , supporting the execution of campaigns for marketing managers.
Establish a marketing center of excellence, ensuring the implementation of best practices, training, and consistency in quality across all teams.
Track and report on key performance metrics weekly.
Proactively manage risks and ensure accountability within the team and across stakeholders.
Communicate potential risks to senior management in advance to mitigate impact on project or product success.
Adapt marketing plans and processes in response to changes in market conditions, resources, and requirements, ensuring ongoing optimisation.
Collaborate with Digital Marketing teams on projects aimed at improving lead generation, conversion, eCommerce performance, and pipeline reporting.
Partner with internal teams and manage external agencies to enhance and streamline marketing performance reporting.
Maintain and update the corporate website , ensuring content is relevant, current, and optimised to attract talent and investors.
This is initially a 12 Month Fixed Term Contract, with the possibility of being extended to 15 Month or beyond.
