This is an ambitious growth plan and we need people with similar ambition to join us on our journey!
We work to support young people aged 4 to 18 through the provision of football activities, enabling them to live active lifestyles, and pursue their full potential.
Our team currently consists of 26 office-staff and a cohort of 60+ expert coaches.
Our Football Foundation aims to ensure that every child can take part in our programmes – regardless of their ability to pay or play.
We provide an experience and environment that is professional, competitive, and enjoyable for all players, coaches, and parents.
About the Role We are changing the game and we need great people to help us on our journey!
Our Football Foundation uses football as the vehicle to engage over 5,000 young people a week with our programmes designed to improve the lives of young people, with an emphasis on soft skills development, improvements in physical and mental health, as well as improving social cohesion in our communities by bringing young people of all socioeconomic backgrounds together.To support our Football Foundation's ( FF)continued growth, the fundraising team is in the process of establishing an Events arm, a new entity focused on running themed events and campaigns for corporates.
These events will range from tournaments at Premier League Stadiums, to high profile fundraising events.
Our Events will generate income used to expand the FF's programmes whilst also building the brand and providing inspirational experiences for young people.
The new senior role of Head of Events will be entrusted with setting up and managing the new entity.
This person should have a passion for sport, be organised and seeking a new challenge.
This role will require sourcing, planning and delivering events, which range from brand activations with Nike to tournaments for brands at venues such as Stamford Bridge and Wembley Stadium.
In addition to building on existing relationships, business development to secure new work will be integral to the success of the role.
In this role, you will report to the CEO of FF, with an expected quarterly presentation to the FF Board and close cooperation with the charity's senior management and fundraising team.
You will be accountable for ensuring the success of FF Events through hitting both financial and social impact-related targets.
The varied nature of the daily responsibilities covered by this role will offer the successful candidate the opportunity to develop their professional capabilities across a wide range of areas, whilst having the opportunity to lead a start up from inception.
Requirements 2 years minimum experience in running events.
Experience organising large-scale events as well as smaller 'boutique' events.
Desire to work in sports and, or social impact.
