You will be based at our modern purpose-built Head Office in the vibrant city centre of Cardiff.
Cardiff is an accessible city with strong transport links, and London is only 2 hours away by train.
Key Responsibilities / Objectives:To lead and develop a team of Estates ManagersPreparation of Board papers to be presented to senior managers and DirectorsTo monitor and manage key lease events and to allocate appropriatelyTo complete from inception to conclusion rent reviews and lease renewalsTo ensure any disputes between Landlords and Tenants are resolved promptly with the minimum disruption and cost to the businessTo resolve operational problems for stores quickly and efficientlyTo be able to make and implement own decisions, balancing risks against benefits for the Company's long-term financial objectivesWhere appropriate ensuring property costs align to lease liabilitiesTo take overall responsibility for the management of the property database Experience:Significant experience within a Senior Estate Management roleExceptional negotiating skills with the ability to identify and achieve positive commercial results in line with the company needs and objectivesIdeally experience in the acquiring and disposal of retail premisesExperience of managing third-party professional teams and tenant/landlord relationshipsTrack record of building and sustaining relationships both internally and externally to the businessAware of legislative changes that affect property Skills:Analytical and commercially focusedResults-driven, self-motivated and ability to work to deadlinesPossess an open and proactive style of communication with the ability to develop positive relationships with all levels of stakeholders both internally and externallyExceptional organisational and planning skills, combined with adaptability to meet changing priorities and project needsStrong leadership, relationship building & people management skillsCapacity for pushing through change and achieving the desired resultsComputer literate with the ability to use and manipulate excel spreadsheetsRelevant professional qualifications (eg MRICS or equivalent) would be advantageousA style that is hands-on, adaptable, resilient & determined
