Day to day this role will Be a team builder , you will be at the forefront of leading engineering managers and teams.
Your role will foster a collaborative culture and drive continuous improvement.
Promote operational excellence .
You will oversee planning and execution, balance quality with speed, and manage KPIs.
You will also be responsible for implementing effective engineering processes, technologies, and policies for sustainable growth.
Lead on strategic alignment, collaborating closely with the CTO on engineering strategy.
Together, you will translate objectives into actionable plans, ensuring that our engineering efforts align with Tillo's overarching goals.
Provide technical oversight, offering guidance, staying current with industry trends, and ensuring best practices in architecture and technical direction.
Effectively allocate resources , managing budgets, and developing top engineering talent.
Be a Tillo representative, at industry events helping to grow our brand within the community.
Collaborate, forging strong relationships with business counterparts, understanding their needs, and sharing ownership of outcomes.
Educate, you'll share your expertise to educate and up-skill stakeholders and fellow engineering leaders.
Who we're looking for A proven leader , with significant experience managing a cross-functional, scaling engineering department and attracting top talent A strong product mindset and customer understanding Proven experience in building a  culture of speed and urgency in a scale-up: You know how to achieve pace without compromising quality and implement the right processes Strong domain experience in API-first businesses or well-scaled software companies Excellent communication skills and the ability to motivate teams Proficiency in PHP and Laravel ; Python is a bonus Excellent knowledge of OWASP Top 10 and secure development principles Benefits We offer all our employees trust and empower our team to work with flexibility and autonomy.
